This soap is made in small batches with only plant based ingredients. It is made on Bowen Island by a very environmentally conscious lady who dedicated her life to the welfare of animals. Bowen Island is one of the small prestine islands along the west coast of Canada – close to Vancouver.

The soap has been “tested” on many occasions on different dogs with different coats – all washing up beautifully. There is a shine to all their coats. It is very gentle to your hands and the dog s skin.
Totally safe, economical and environmentally friendly – it is a “no waste product” since it does not come in a plastic bottle.
What is NEEM Oil you ask.
“Neem oil is a natural derivative of the neem tree (Azadirachta indica), an evergreen variety native to India. This makes it organic and biodegradable”
It is non toxic and has natural anti-fungal, antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It repels insects, such as flees, it might even kill them with no known side effects to dogs.

Smartsnax dog biscuits are made with locally produced plant-based ingredients that each have a purpose. Each ingredient is chosen with thought behind it. We want to ensure your dog is getting the nutrients it deserves while making it a sensationally enjoyable Smartsnax experience. Our biscuits are baked at very low temperature to keep as many of the macro – nutrients intact as possible. Nutrients in foods can be lost in long transportation lines. It is important to us to get as many ingredients as possible from very local food sources.
SMartsnax nutrients
Our Smartsnax biscuits are gluten friendly and are excellent for dogs of all ages. Also good for dogs who are sensitive to certain foods. There is no wheat in any of the biscuits. We use Emmer flour in some recipes. Emmer is a very ancient grain, that has been used for many years as a high protein source. It is rich in fiber, protein, magnesium and other vitamins. It is a great plant-based high-protein food source. Other protein sources in our biscuits are:
- Lupin flour
- Buckwheat
- Sunflower seeds
- Pumpkin seeds
Smartsnax seeds
Sunflower seeds can be a great way to support the immune system. They are packed with healthy fats and are high in vitamin E and selenium. They also contain magnesium, linoleic fatty acids, protein and several plant compounds.
Some of our smartsnax biscuits also contain pumpkin seeds. These are also very beneficial for your furry ones!
